The vibrations of the cabin
walls of a light weight truck cabin have been analyzed with this technique. The cabin was
positioned on the test bench and excited with a shaker. The resonance frequencies have been
determined with accelerometers at few measuring points. In this application, the PulsESPI
measurement served simply for display of the vibration mode shape. Therefore, the interesting
frequencies could directly be excited with the shaker and the PulsESPI system could directly be
triggered to the accelerometer signal.
The measured phase maps
and the corresponding amplitude maps of the rear wall are displayed for each resonance
frequency.

Similarly, the vibrations of the left and right doors have been analyzed with the PulsESPI
system. The complete measurement cycle of one side of the cabin wall can be carried out within 1
hour time.
